A leading local security door manufacturer is seeking an Office Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our team in a varied and challenging position. The role involves taking responsibility for the smooth running of our small but busy Pakenham office and for supporting the team by assisting with the co-ordination of schedules and workflows, report and document production, customer liaison and general reception and office administration.

The position will also undertake bookkeeping activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, BAS preparation, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and end-of-month processing and reporting. To be successful in the role, you will have the following attributes:

  • Current office management experience, preferably within a manufacturing business
  • Extensive experience of all bookkeeping activities, with responsibility for overseeing all facets of accounting for a small business and utilising MYOB is essential
  • Strong understanding of business financials
  • High levels of competency in Microsoft office suite – particularly Excel
  • Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated high levels of customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers, colleagues and suppliers at all levels
  • High work standards and attention to detail, with the ability to write clear and professional communications.
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and initiative to implement new procedures and systems
