Job Purpose

The Procurement Officer assists stakeholders to plan, develop and manage procurement activity in line with business objectives and related policy.  The role involves managing supply agreements, reviewing existing arrangements and negotiating new supply agreements primarily within the scope of the Achieve Australia Business Support team.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role you will be required to address the following selection criteria:

  • Minimum three years’ experience and training within the procurement field.
  • Ability to be proactive, autonomous and capable of self-starting tasks/projects.
  • Demonstrated capacity to learn how to use other computer software, credit management & engage in related management projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments, whilst being positive, flexible, participative and a team player
  • Strong relationship building skills (internal and external).
  • Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office program suite – Windows10, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & MS Navision, SharePoint and Power BI.
  • Courteous and confident manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written & oral) skills.

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Procurement Association certification, with technical training in procurement risk management and contracts management.
  • ITC background.
