The role

We currently have an opportunity for a customer service specialist to join our welcoming and supportive team as an Allocator. This is a great opportunity to apply your existing customer service skills to a secure a role in the transport industry.

Based in Silverwater, this full time permanent opportunity is critical to our business as it ensures the expectations of our customers are met by maximising the efficiency and utilisation of our fleet of concrete agitator trucks. In this role, you will receive calls from customers, take orders and finalise the sale of pre-mixed concrete for delivery. Working closely with the Sales and Operations Managers, you will schedule & allocate the delivery of product to the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Use software packages to schedule rostering and truck movements for the Sydney market
  • Represent the Hy-Tec brand and provide excellent phone based customer service
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement values
  • Assist with related administrative duties
  • Ensure COR requirements are adhered to at all times

What you will need to succeed

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work effectively in an environment of constant change
  • Previous experience in a customer service/planning/scheduling function obtained from the concrete industry (desired but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with diverse customers
  • Sound geographical knowledge of metropolitan and surrounding suburbs of Sydney
  • Competent when working with computers and various software packages (training provided)
