YLPG / Role Overview

YLPG is a trades and services organisation that caters to the plumbing industry. This position will be based in our main office within the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, VIC. The key to the success is our people, and in this role we are looking for an individual who is a dependable, adaptable and a highly efficient team player that is able to support our State Managers and YLPG team with daily operational activities.

Ideally, this position will suit someone who thrives on lots of variety as you will be involved with operational administration, sales, customer service support, accounts as well as taking responsibility of consumer complaints and warranty services. Overall, we are looking to fill a full-time role with someone who is bright and has a friendly personality to join us and become a valuable member of existing team of professionals.

 

Your Role

Senior to you will be our Operational State Managers who will assist, train and educate you with the necessary skills required to perform in this role. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

• Liaising with suppliers to manage inventory, updating timesheets, compiling together invoices and conducting payment collections.

• Advising / supporting customers regularly via customer care, email enquiries as well as general support when required.

• Providing operational and project coordination support for Operational State Managers with various internal and external stakeholders.

• Handling high volume of incoming and outgoing calls

• Liaising with field plumbers/tradies for job requirements and expectations.

• Processing regular compliances, emailing, printing and distributing requested reports.

• Data entry and file creation via our internal CRM system

 

The successful applicant should possess the following essential criteria:

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent

• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint)

• Outstanding communication skills (Verbal and Written)

• Quick and accurate typing skills

• Punctual and reliable as well as excellent organisational and planning skills

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement

• Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines

• Must be able to liaise effectively with people from various levels in a corporate environment.

• Willingness and desire to cross train across other roles.

 

Additional Requirements (preferred but not essential)

• 1+ Years of building/trading industry experience or 2 years of office administration/customer service experience required

• Customer service experience desired but not essential
