Our client is an international leader within its field and due to growth they are seeking to recruit a Purchasing officer to join their team at their head office in North Ryde
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this is an ideal role if you are looking to grow your career and work in a supportive team with a job that offers variety and satisfaction.
It is imperative that you speak Mandarin, fluently, and are able to negotiate and converse at this level.
This role requires an aptitude in negotiating with suppliers for the best possible prices by being able to engage and speak with many international suppliers. Many of these are in China but are also in the Philippines, India and Europe, so similarly strong English skills are also required.
We are also looking for an individual with a good aptitude to maintaining systems and basic Accounting knowledge. Ideally you will have some experience with MYOB.
Other skills include:
- strong IT processing skills including MYOB, MS Office etc
- 12 months + experience in a purchasing role
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in English and Chinese
- A sense of humour and a team player
- Completion of your HSC or equivalent and some tertiary study
