THE COMPANY

We are a fast-growing Sunshine Coast based family irrigation business that has grown from 3 people to 14 people in less than 10 years. We are now looking for an Office Manager/Bookkeeper to join the successful growing team.

THE POSITION

The duties of this position  is currently been completed by the Directors. With the growth if the business the position has grown in to its own independent role and requires an experience Office Manager/Bookkeeper to take it to the next level and make it their own while respecting the current systems and procedures in place. This position is full time with the hours being Monday to Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the successful applicant, your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing office and company policies and procedures
  • Creating client files on the system
  • Breaking costings of jobs looking at profits and losses
  • Managing all incoming calls and emails
  • Assisting walk-in customers
  • Complete quotes on job sheets
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Ordering of stock
  • Debt Collection
  • Costing sheets
  • Stock control
  • Preparing workshop for jobs
  • Payroll for 15 employees
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Budgeting
  • EOM
  • BAS and GST
  • Assisting the Estimator where required
  • Providing general assistance to the Manager
  • Provide regular, ongoing updates to the Manager

 

As the successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Advanced understanding of MYOB – ESSENTIAL
  • Background in construction/blue collar and experience in dealing with contractors – highly advantageous though not essential
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
  • Be an open book and be able to perform the tasks in accordance with the current procedures as per the Directors preference
  • Versatile and able to adapt to continuous change
  • Experiencing in the development and implementation of office system and procedures
  • Highly organised with the ability to organise other
  • Happy to work in a male dominated blue collar environment
  • Willingness to prepare gear in the workshop for the following days jobs as required
