  • Provide Customer Request System support.
  • Assist with data entry for the finalisation of works orders.
  • Assist with developing standard internal processes/procedures.

The Administration Officer will work collaboratively with the Senior Administration Officer to embed an operating model that achieves the provision of best value for council in implementing a planned and scheduled regime of activities to be delivered by the Delivery Services team on all infrastructure including:

  • Open Spaces
  • Parks and Gardens
  • Transport Network
  • Stormwater Network
  • Coastal and Marine Infrastructure

The Administration Officer will provide administration support relevant to the asset maintenance section to identify and realise operational efficiencies and continuous improvement.

To be successful, you will have the ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance excellence, have excellent administration skills including word processing, data entry and the ability to deal with confidential matters as well as being self-motivated and have the ability to work on multiple tasks, determine priorities and meet deadlines.

More specifically, the key requirements for success include the following and these should be addressed in your selection response:

  • Well-developed Customer Service skills and ability to communicate effectively with members of the public and Council employees;
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures, governance and record management system in a medium sized local government;
  • Operational financial experience in a medium to large organisation and;
  • High level of computer operational skills including demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office software and financial management systems.

Qualifications/ Licences:

  • Current C Class Drivers licence.
