Support the CEO and Executive Managers to deliver high quality work, often in tight timeframes to coordinate the ongoing development and implementation of business planning and risk management to increase AH&MRC overall performance.

Preparation and review of policies, procedures and systems to embed good practice and continuous improvement.

To be successful for an interview you must have the following:

  • Minimum of 2.5+ year's EA experience
  • Ability to multi task (essential)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail and a quick learner
  • Well-spoken and presented
  • Worked in a team environment and able to work unsupervised
  • An understanding of the Aboriginal Community Control Health Organisation and the not-for-profit sector policy
  • Proven experience in providing a high standard of administrative and executive support in a dynamic, Aboriginal cultural focused business environment while displaying a high degree of judgement, initiative and confidentiality
  • Excellent writing skills with proven ability to research and create clear policy documents and reports for a range of audiences
  • Excellent verbal communications with ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people, government stakeholder regardless of seniority, including ability to convey complex information in an acceptable way
  • Strong experience in taking minutes in meetings
  • Strong experience dealing with the board

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive, confidential, executive support functions to the CEO and Managers
  • Prepare reports, agendas, minutes, action items and correspondence on behave of the CEO and Managers
  • Manage the processes and tasks surrounding the annual cycle of Board and sub-committee meetings, including agendas, minute taking, maintaining action lists and other associated activities
  • In consultation with the CEO, liaise with and assist Directors of the Board
  • Assist in the development of submissions or written responses for government process and funding agreements
  • Support the CEO and Managers in the production of Board of Directors briefing papers and  respond to enquiries in relation to corporate governance matters
  • Assist with developing briefing documents to support the provision of strategic policy advice to the Board of Directors of AH&MRC
  • Coordinate Board of Directors meeting and workflow relating to Boards decision and follow up actions to ensure that Directors are informed of the operational imperatives that impact on strategic outcomes
  • Booking travel and accommodation for CEO and Board of Directors
  • Creating purchase orders and completing travel forms and reimbursement forms, sending travel packages to BoD
