The Company
Our client is a boutique chartered accounting practice that provides a broad range of accounting, bookkeeping and financial services to a wide selection of clients including small, medium, large and internationally listed clients.
 
The Opportunity
This highly reputable accounting practice is seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Manager to manage the team and provide operational support to the Partners and Managers. Joining a supportive and collaborative team your key responsibilities will include:
  • oversee day to day operations of the office
  • diary management
  • setting up meetings for partners/staff
  • managing all incoming and outgoing mail/email
  • management of client portal and reporting
  • typing up of correspondence letters
  • organising all staff functions including end of financial year event, Christmas party and Tax training
  • compiling BAS, tax returns and financial statements via myob portal to client
  • binding documents where necessary
  • minute taking
  • preparation of trust distribution minutes
  • management of ATO lodgements and reporting to partners
  • liaise with ATO as necessary
  • management of ASIC corporate secretarial system inclusive of work such as company, trust and super fund set ups including applying for TFN, ABN and GST.
  • database management in Accountants Office
  • setting up clients on the database
  • running productivity reports
  • review and management of WIP
  • preparation of invoices and write offs
  • management of debtors and reporting
  • managing IT resources and service providers and assisting with 
  • scanning documents
  • filing documents
  • file documents using Accountants Office document manager
  • send/receive files via Dropbox
  • kitchen and Meeting Room Management
  • liaising with the suppliers
  • other Ad Hoc administrative tasks as required
  • management of online diary bookings system
  • management of website and facebook page
  • preparation of monthly newsletter

About You

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Must have experience in an accounting practice!!
  • Competence in decision making within areas of responsibility
  • Ability to multitask and be organised
  • If you have experience with Accounts Office that would be preferable, however not essential for this role

This is a full time role, Monday to Friday. You must have proven management experience, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, excellent organisation skills and knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
