This is a front-line position, based in our Rocklea office.

The Service Planner / Co-ordinator allocates maintenance and repair jobs to our team of technicians, at customer sites throughout SEQ.  The role works closely with our Service Manager and various Account Managers, to ensure we meet customer requirements as efficiently as possible. Although all work is planned monthly in advance, daily adjustments are needed to cover job overruns, call-outs and other contingencies. Managing these constant changes and re-fitting the schedule together on a daily basis is an essential skill.

The key duties of this role are

  • Scheduling jobs for technicians, in consultation with the Service Manager
  • Handling incoming service requests over the phone and by email
  • Communicating with the technicians
  • Following up on progress and closure of jobs
  • Ordering, tracking, receipting and organising the collection of parts for use on jobs
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly customer reports
  • Helping with accounts payable

To succeed in the role you will be a reliable team player, capable of multitasking without compromising quality or attention to detail. The hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, either full time or job-share considered.

  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Able to flourish in a fast paced, sometimes stressful, environment
  • Experience in an engineering or service operation
  • Confident, professional and enthusiastic phone manner and excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Willingness to pitch in whenever needed.

Knowledge of a work flow management system like Aroflo or Simpro would be preferred.
