In an exciting new role to support their ambitious growth agenda, we are currently partnering with a highly successful industrial building supplies business in Eagle Farm, QLD, to identify a highly organised, confident and technically-minded candidate from an industrial / trades background for the position of Sales & Customer Service Assistant.

The Role

As the Sales & Customer Service Assistant you will help underpin our client's continued success by providing general support to the sales team, taking in-bound orders over the phone and managing customer enquiries. This is a key role in an exciting part of the business, and your work will help to achieve sales results and drive continued growth. You will:

  • Provide first-line technical product support for customer queries via phone or e-mail
  • Process customer invoices and credits via phone or email
  • Follow up on open customer quotes
  • Set-up customer pricing files
  • Liaise with customers to help resolve queries [link removed]
  • Maintain customer and sales data in the Ostendo ERP system
  • Take minutes and action items from weekly Sales Meeting and any other meetings
  • Make appointments and book travel arrangements for Business Development Managers and Sales Manager/Director
  • Maintain records and give regular updates to Sales and customer service teams on any sales campaigns

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience within a related industry or trade, such as plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning etc.
  • A diligent and organised character with high attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products
  • A driven and resourceful candidate with the ability to work as part of a small and tight-knit team
  • Someone comfortable working in a high-volume, change oriented environment
  • Friendly, positive, proactive and customer focused individual
