SKYCITY Darwin is currently seeking a full time Sales Administration Assistant to provide administration support to the Sales team.

We are seeking an experienced administration professional to join the team. The Sales team work directly with customers providing a high standard of customer service, assisting with functions, events and marketing the property to the wider community. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Director of Sales. Ideally you will have at least 1 years experience in an administrative position in the hospitality/entertainment industry.

SKYCITY is Darwin's only 5 star beachfront resort featuring boutique style accommodation, a world class entertainment complex, four restaurants, four bars and superior conference and event facilities.

* *Key responsibilities include

  • General administration support to both the Sales team and Manager;
  • Responding to all customer inquiries promptly;
  • Setting up PM Accounts, sending deposits requests, maintain invoices, and terms & conditions when required, including entering information into Opera;
  • Assisting in the preparation of proposals, quotes and contracts;
  • Manage and Maintain Databases;
  • Assist with updating websites, mail outs and event invitation lists;
  • Monitoring and re-ordering promotional material;
  • Minute taking;
  • Raise all purchase orders and pay invoices for both departments
  • Coordinate equipment hire for functions and events
  • Assisting with coordinating small event bookings and internal events including Melbourne Cup, Christmas Day and other special events;
  • General office, secretarial and other duties as required.

To be considered for this role you will need

  • Minimum 1 year administration experience
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and Databases;
  • The ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner;
  • Exceptional organisational skills and a high degree of effective time management;
  • Having exceptional attention to detail is imperative;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Must be able to take direction from and provide support to the 10 members of the Sales and Marketing team;
  • Knowledge of the PMS Opera desirable however not essential.
