Temporary position available with the NSW Government. At this stage this a temporary role working Monday - Friday.

We are seeking applicants who have demonstrated experience in administration duties, this role is responsible for the delivery of a range of administrative services to support the efficient and effective operation of the team / business unit.

  • Prioritising tasks and requests for information, in a high volume working environment, ensuring timeframes are met.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, policies and procedures in order to provide accurate information on a range of enquiries relevant to the functions of the team/business unit.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Provision of a range of administrative services and functions which may include word processing, data entry, preparation of correspondence, templates, reports, agendas and minutes of meetings, distribution of mail, photocopying and ordering of stores, stationery and equipment.
  • Completion of standard financial/purchasing transactions on behalf of the team/business unit ensuring procurement and financial processes are complied with.
  • Respond to enquiries either by phone, in person or by email, often as the first point of contact, ensuring an accurate and timely response or where appropriate escalation to the appropriate person for resolution.
  • Maintenance of accurate records and records information systems and functions for the team/business unit in accordance with records management policies and procedures and confidentiality/privacy requirements.

To be the successful for this role we are looking for somebody with experience in a similar role couple with:

  • You will have outstanding organisational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to quickly adapt and be hands on.
  • Your well-developed interpersonal communication skills, coupled with an ability to identify and understand clients needs.
  • Excellent work ethic, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and work autonomously to achieve high standard results on a daily basis.
