We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-directed person to manage and organise the accommodation, transportation, rostering and inductions of our field staff. This position will also incorporate assisting and coordinating in the recruitment process of staff for the field operations.

 

The Role

The Crewing & Competency Coordinator will provide supervision, coordination and drive career development to the Drilling Field team. The position will be responsible for planning and coordinating of all the field personnel movements, training, inductions and competency. The position is split between two main responsibilities as follows:

  • Selecting appropriate personnel for field operations
  • Ensure technical and leadership skills coverage in allocated crews
  • Conduct pre and post-job briefings
  • Ensure personnel complete competency based training requirements
  • Monitor and maintain training competency database
  • Perform gap analysis to identify training needs
  • Prepare, facilitate, monitor and evaluate training activities
  • Assisting in the administration of Workplace Rehabilitation.
  • Assisting in the recruitment process of all field staff
  • Review all policies and procedures in line with legislation.

 

APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS

 

  • Proven ability to organise travel, flights and accommodation.
  • Well-developed communication skills, displaying a pleasant disposition.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Experienced in MS Word, Excel and Emails, additional skills in Project would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrate a pleasant, cooperative and welcoming phone manner.
  • Outstanding client service and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and ensure attention to detail across all daily tasks.
  • Previous experience coordinating recruitment and selection including advertising, dealing with job applications, interviewing and processing new appointments.
  • Proven history in recording and reporting of HR Data and managing personnel files.


About You.

You will be experienced in managing medium to large numbers of field based personnel, preferably within a mining environment. Your HR background will set you up for success in this position.

Training or personnel development coordination is essential as is an exceptional approach to safety in the workplace. Sound organizational and computer skills are a must.

As this position will be the focal point of communication for all field personnel, your ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential.
