The Opportunity


Are you a professional, positive and experienced Receptionist? Join a leading Government organisation based in Chatswood NSW in a key customer-facing role. 

The position is accountable for a range of reception duties, general office support and administration duties, and assisting with facility coordination for the office site.


Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake Reception duties including responding to and directing incoming calls, relaying messages, greeting visitors, and maintaining and updating staff directory.
  • Timely resolution and problem solving of Reception and customer/stakeholder issues.
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing mail including internal mail distribution, Express Post, and courier deliveries.
  • Make bookings for meeting rooms, fleet vehicles, equipment (e.g. projectors, laptops, teleconference numbers), visitor parking, and similar resources.
  • Set up meeting rooms, keep meeting rooms tidy, and ensure meeting room resources are maintained and functioning.
  • Keep Reception kitchen area clean, tidy and stocked (including stack/unstack dishwasher).
  • Issue taxi vouchers.
  • Distribute and maintain stores of stationery, office supplies and kitchen supplies.
  • Issue security access and photo ID cards for staff and contractors.
  • Assist with processing invoices.
  • Assist Senior Receptionist in duties related to Cleaners and Building Management.
  • Provide general administrative assistance and support to the Workforce unit and other business units as requested.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and evaluation of Reception processes and work routines to ensure efficient work practices and customer needs are met.

Essential Requirements
  • 5+ years experience as a corporate Receptionist
  • Excellent phone mannerisms 
  • Must be well-presented and professional
  • High level customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Current drivers licence
