About the role:

Digital Transformation Group’s role is to enable our people working in all areas of our organisation to easily implement, adopt and benefit from user-focussed modern technology and contemporary processes. The Executive Support Officer role within the Office of the General Manager offers an opportunity to work at the heart of this fast paced and challenging environment. You will be required to work alongside the Executive Assistant to support the General Manager and Lead Team, providing BAU executive support as well as being involved in ad hoc projects. You will be a member of the Digital Transformation Business Support Team which is a collaborative, motivated and supportive team. You may be required to backfill colleague’s roles while they’re on leave. This role is being created to ensure that the Office of the General Manager operates at an optimum level.

 What the role will offer:

  • Provide support to the Executive Assistant in undertaking duties for the General Manager

  • Provide an executive assistance, support and secretarial service to the General Manager and Group Lead Team.

  • Manage the General Manager’s diary, appointments, electronic and other mail in accordance with daily priorities.

  • Monitor Ministerials, Priority Ones, Briefing Notes, Cabinet Submissions, Parliamentary Questions, Board and executive papers and undertake liaison as appropriate to ensure accurate and timely provision and response.

  • Prepare correspondence and memos on behalf of the General Manager as required.

  • Assist, advise and liaise with senior executives of the Corporation, employees and external organisations on behalf of the General Manager.

  •  Undertake administration, procurement and financial services as required to support the office of the General Manager.

 Key skills and experience:

  • Proven ability and skills in providing executive secretarial and administrative support services.

  • Demonstrated well developed competencies in the use of relevant IT applications

  • Sound knowledge of procedures and protocols relating to Ministerial and other Priority One enquiries

  • Sound customer and stakeholder relationship management skills
