The opportunity

Small private accounting firm in art of lane cove is looking for an proactive part time administration officer for varied and challenging role. 

The is part time with an expected work week of 20-25 hours. You will have the flexibility to fill these hours when it suits you, so if you want this to be based around school hours, it may be the role for you.

The firm has been established over 25 years and has spacious offices in the streets of Lane Cove. 

The practice is busy yet friendly. If your looking for a role in a close knit business where you can take control and add value this is the role for you.

 

About you

We are looking for an experienced office administrator with excellent verbal and written communication skills

In the role of managing the office you will be super organised and eye to any improvements to the systems you see. Once up and running in the role you will be confident handling multiple tasks unsupervised

They will likely incorporate:

  • Managing all incoming calls and walk in appointments
  • Registering and actioning work received
  • Compiling and sending out letters
  • Liasing with the ATO
  • Accounts payable and receivable.
  • Liasing with clients
  • Processing accounts using MYOB

 

What you'll need:

  • 2 years plus experience as an office administrator
  • Must be presentable with excellent written and verbal communications
  • Willing to be flexible with hours depending on work demands
  • Must be competent and outgoing
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems
  • Exceptionable customer service skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Solid understand of bookkeeping and accounting skills is essential
  • High attention to details with an eye to streamline business proceedures
  • Experience working in an accounting firm desirable but not essential
  • Word and Excel knowledge is essential
  • MYOB experience is essential
  • Knowledge of Google Docs, Xero and TaxCAT ad advantage but not essential
