Our client is based in Logan and is seeking an Administration Officer to work in their Corporate Procurement Program team to provide administrative support.
 
The initial contract duration is from 18th July 2018 to 31st January 2019 working 38 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm.
 
Key responsibilities:
 
Level 1
 
As a member of the Administration Branch, the incumbent will provide administrative support, under general guidance and close supervision, in any of the following functions:
  • Maintain registers, issue and order for the following Council services:
  • Cab Charge, including reconciliation of accounts
  • Corporate Credit Cards
  • Corporate Procurement Program administration duties, including faxes, photocopying, assist with preparation of tender documents, tender request preparation and maintenance of the Tenders section of Council's website.
  • Assist Procurement Program staff.
  • Undertake minor purchases via purchase orders and credit card.
  • Perform such other duties that may from time to time be delegated by the Program Leader Corporate Procurement and/or Administration Manager.

To be successful, you will possess the following skills:
  • Educational standards equivalent to Queensland Year 12 and/or Commercial training supplemented by work experience.
  • Competency in keyboard/word processing skills and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated high degree of literacy and numeracy is essential, including the ability to draft accurate business letters and memos.
  • Demonstrated sound communication skills with ability to deal with clients at all levels and to make prompt reliable decisions within bounds of allocated responsibilities.
  • Be self-motivated and demonstrate ability to deal with other officers with tact, understanding and encouragement in performance of duties.
  • Possess the ability to work as a team member through active involvement in the pursuit of the objectives of the Branch. This will require participation, co-operation, understanding and a harmonious attitude to others.
 
Working with this high profile organisation, your hourly rate will be $27.55p/h + Super.
