About the Opportunity
Are you looking for a varied support role that offers flexible working conditions and a great team environment? Come and join us as a Finance Operations Controller within our Assurance & Advisory team.
The Financial Operations Controller, as part of the A&A Financial Operations team, will be responsible for the end to end management and coordination of an Engagement’s Lifecycle. The purpose of this role is to help centralise, streamline and proactively manage the administrative function to deliver excellence in operational efficiencies.
You will work closely with the Finance Operations Lead, Engagement Partner and Managers to ensure policy and procedures are upheld and followed, assist in any follow up or requests from Finance, along with other ad-hoc requests from the operations or engagement team.
You will regularly liaise with a varied stakeholder group whilst working in an autonomous role that allows you to make a real impact to the operational running of the A&A business.
Key tasks include:
  • Maintenance of engagement codes including updating resource rates, processing financial adjustments and closing engagement codes
  • Facilitating the engagement lifecycle, including but not limited to; engagement setup, engagement pricing, financial code management, cost to complete modelling, and variance analysis.
  • Ability to analyse and identify causes and consequences in engagement financials
  • Identify and mitigate operational business risk, with principal focus on key financial metrics
  • Act as the ‘go to person’ for engagement teams
  • Invoice clients as directed by the Operations team or Engagement Manager
  • Provide engagement financial status reports to engagement Partners and Directors
  • Identify and mitigate operational business risk, with principal focus on key financial metrics
  • Support and enforce workflow designs and business improvements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to National Finance, National Resourcing, PDM’s and Operating Unit Leaders, to identify opportunities, drive efficiencies, and make objective recommendations to business leaders

About You
You are a strong and effective communicator who is confident interacting and presenting back to all levels of seniority. You enjoy a fast paced, deadline driven environment and can deal well with ambiguity. You have a strong attention to detail and are inquisitive by nature.
Equipped with SAP platform experience and advanced MS office skills (especially excel) along with a high level of numerical accuracy, you will have at least 12 months experience in a similar operations/project controller role, with a focus on financials. A degree or Certificate in Accounting, Finance or Economics would also be advantageous.
