About the organisation

The Geelong Regional Library Corporation (GRLC) strives to enrich, empower and inspire Geelong and the surrounding community, providing library services and experiences that create opportunities for people to read, learn, work and connect with one another and the everchanging world in which they live.The GRLC has one of the largest physical and virtual public library networks in the state, with service delivery occurring via 16 static branches, two mobile libraries, outreach services in the community and the library website and app.For the fourth year running the GRLC was independently assessed as the number one performing public library in the state of Victoria. This is an organisation you’ll truly be proud to be a part of.


About the role


This is a newly created role to provide effective and efficient administrative support and reception services for the library corporation. The role is multi- functional and will be split between
  • assisting the Human Resources function with HR administrative duties and recruitment activities,
  • assisting Finance with payroll and accounts administration
  • providing an administrative service to corporate head office and the libraries network
  • be the primary interface for the library corporation providing an accurate, courteous and friendly service to customers via incoming calls and visitors.

Requirements for the role
  • Ideally you will have a business administration or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Exceptional administrative skills, knowledge and experience developed through performing a similar role
  • Strong customer service skills with the desire and ability to work with diverse members of the community
  •  A desire to be part of a proactive team and an enthusiasm to support team members achieve business objectives
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capability due to multiple internal stakeholders across the wider business
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Proficient numerical skills to successfully complete basic accounting and finance duties
  • Ability to research, analyse and report information.
