Federal Government Administrator Job in Melbourne CBD for 6 months paying $35 per hour plus super

Your new company
My client is a Federal Government organisation seeking an Administrator to come on board for an initial 6 month period with a possibility of extension due to an increase of workload and growth of the agency.

Your new role
Reporting to the Manager, you will be performing a range of the following duties:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for the office, including greeting visitors and receiving phone call
  • Preparing and delivering documents, including the preparation of presentations
  • Assist with meetings in the Melbourne office, including preparation of documents, greeting visitors and catering when required
  • Undertaking filing and records management functions
  • Travel booking
  • Manage office duties such as rosters, organising repairs when required and stationery
  • Collecting and analysing information for monitoring purposes
  • Developing appropriate systems, procedures and controls to enhance the accuracy, timeliness and presentation of workflow within the group
  • Providing advice, organising, scheduling and coordinating all travel arrangements, accommodation and supporting documentation



What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in the following:

  • Previous administrative experience within the Federal Government
  • Require a high level of integrity
  • Strong communication and organisational skills to manage competing priorities
  • Exercise sound judgement
  • A high degree of initiative
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive business matters
  • Work collaboratively with others and build productive relationships
  • Dedicated to the delivery of excellent customer service
  • Strong level of written skills and the ability to communicate professionally
  • secretariat/minute taking skills are desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.
