  • Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm (Mon to Fri)

Key Result Area 1 – Administrative support for Beef & Smallstock Program

  • Completes Smallstock daily bookings and costings in a timely manner to meet Livestock, Lairage and Finance departmental deadlines
  • Issues feedback sheets daily to buyers/agents and vendors for private sale buys
  • Collates or checks Livestock Payment Run twice weekly as needed
  • Liaises with Feedlot Coordinator as required to ensure smooth operation of data
  • Works closely with Beef Livestock Manager, Livestock Department team members and all associated buyers and Lairage team members to ensure all requirements are met
  • Acts as a first point of contact for vendor enquiries and complaints; resolves enquiries and complaints in a timely manner (where possible); escalates unresolved enquiries or serious complaints to management for review and action
  • Takes cattle phone bookings for clients in consultation with Beef Livestock Manager
  • Liaises with Meat & Livestock Australia (as directed or required) regarding MSA grading / improvements

Key Result Area 2 – Data entry, analysis and reporting

  • Enters financial data into Microsoft® Dynamics NAV (including freight, commission, stock, feeding, droving etc).
  • Records Beef kill information into Excel and updates Beef Kill Plan in line with actual kill data; amends Beef Kill Plan as required in conjunction with Beef Livestock Manager, Plant Manager and Lairages
  • Performs beef data analysis (e.g. chiller assessment, slaughter floor) in response to issues/queries raised by TFI staff
  • Updates Beef & Smallstock Grid weekly; imports data into Microsoft® Dynamics NAV; distributes reports to livestock buyers and agents as instructed
  • Performs data analysis and research for Beef Livestock Manager and Beef & Smallstock team members; prepares and issues reports as requested or required
  • Assists to resolve or fix database or system anomalies or issues (within competency limits)

Key Result Area 3 – Clerical and management support

  • Completes assigned word processing tasks; maintains existing document templates and creates new document templates as directed by Beef Livestock Manager
  • Provides clerical support including photocopying, scanning, and filing of documents
  • Provides administrative and general support to Beef Livestock Manager as requested or required

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

Qualifications

  • High school Year 11 or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum two years’ experience in office administration or data entry role

Desirable

Qualifications

  • Qualifications or certificates in business administration or finance

Experience

  • Previous experience with livestock management software (e.g. Possum Gully) and/or ERP software (e.g. Microsoft® Dynamics NAV) and Microsoft® Excel
  • Sound knowledge of cattle and relevant grading analysis
  • Previous experience in the meat processing or livestock industry
