We are seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our Brisbane team on a full-time fixed term contract, providing exceptional legal administration support to our team.  This position is essential in ensuring the smooth operations of the office through the delivery of day-to-day administrative support as well as quality client care and liaison.

This is a role for a true multi-tasker.  On any given day you will be involved with answering incoming phone calls in a timely manner, greeting clients and settling them into meeting rooms (including preparing tea and coffee), hard and soft copy filing, collecting and distributing mail, ensuring access to stationery and other supplies, diary management, town clerk duties including filing documents at Court, and generally ensuring smooth administrative support for the office.

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to give examples of your previous experience relating to:-

  • Previous reception experience;
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Being very well organised with great time management skills and good with following and creating systems and procedures;
  • Prioritising and managing a demanding workload with great time management skills;
  • Having exceptional attention to detail;
  • A high level of productivity in your previous roles;
  • Being adaptable, honest, reliable and possessing a good work ethic;
  • Ability to support a team of lawyers simultaneously and manage competing priorities; and
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.

As the first point of client contact with our firm, the successful candidate will be well presented and enthusiastic with the ability to build rapport with clients and staff alike.  You also understand that empathy and a sense of humour can both be required on any given day.

The successful candidate for this position will be renumerated in accordance with the Legal Services Award.
