We have a great opportunity for a Project Co-ordinator to our Health, Safety & Environmental team.

The Role

As a Project Co-ordinator within the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) team you will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring, coordinator and reporting of multiple programs and initiatives that are being implemented across all business units to improve HSE outcomes.  You will also be responsible for providing support services within HSE branch to facilitate the efficient operations of the team to achieve its business objectives.

You will assist in the coordination of project lifecycle processes including project initiation, planning, implementation, reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement of multiple HSE programs to ensure that milestones are met on schedule and within the allocated budget.

Assist in the preparation and presentation of position papers, presentation and reports on related HSE issues to relevant internal and external stakeholders to provide accurate and complete information, analysis and recommendations

You will also be responsible for supporting the wider team in coordinating meetings, procurement and contract activities, purchasing/payment of goods and services and be responsible for collating and reconciling statements via internal systems.

About you:

You will have worked in a similar role and have a good understanding of contract and project administration.  You will be fully confident in a variety of business systems and be highly experienced in compiling well organised and structured information, charts and reports. You will be highly skilled in producing presentations, reports and within the HSE team. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to develop and maintain business relationships and undertake operational planning with key stakeholders to enable identification and prioritisation of operational project activities to meet HSE business requirements. 

Skills Required:

  • Effective stakeholder coordinator skills and an ability to communicate clearly and convincingly and influence outcomes across all levels
  • Well-developed communication and coordination skills with the demonstrated ability for problem solving and issue resolution through negotiation and collaboration with staff and stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexible team player, has the ability to prioritise, and juggles multiple projects in a changing environment HSE project Officer
  • Knowledge of computer operations, business systems and programs relevant for the role
  • Strong time management skills with excellent planning and organisational skills.

Qualifications required

Certificate IV in Business or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
