Our client is a major national distributor of mechanical and electrical products. An international brand they import and market a comprehensive range of industrial products for complete electro mechanical, power transmission and speed control systems along with a full air systems

Focussed on quality and innovation, their highly skilled team covers all aspects from initial design through to the distribution of the finished product. Located in Rowville, they are currently looking for a Production Clerk on a part-time basis.

The Role

As a Production Clerk your role will be busy handling the following key responsibilities;

  • Compilation of daily timesheet sent fortnightly to Payroll Manager for processing
  • Cost materials usage against appropriate Works Orders
  • Update TIMS and Excel spreadsheets with times and material costs allocated to Works Orders
  • Raise Purchase Order requests
  • Respond to customer enquiries
  • Create delivery dockets for outgoing finished products
  • Maintenance and accurate costing and stock records
  • Checking and processing invoices against Orders and Delivery Dockets and approving for payment

The Successfully Applicant

To be successful in the obtaining this role you will have experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry. You will possess exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines. Above all this will suit someone who is a quick learner, a real ‘self-starter’ and is able to work autonomously.

  • Ability to understand and interpret Customer’s drawings
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office especially Word and Excel
  • Able to communicate effectively to staff at all levels
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
This is a part-time role working 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Flexible with working either 7:30am to 12:30pm or 8am to 1pm, with a morning tea break.
