ABOUT THE ROLE

AFL SportsReady in conjunction with Queensland Ballet have a Business Traineeship position available for a motivated Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.

This position works within a dynamic and innovative team environment that supports Queensland Ballet’s strategy through the provision of administrative support for Queensland Ballet’s dance education and community engagement programs.

The successful applicant will be legally employed by AFL Sports Ready in a traineeship and will work on site with Queensland Ballet and receive an accredited Certificate III Business qualification (on successful completion).

This position requires an individual who is enthusiastic and organised and wants to work as a key member of a high performing team.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Head of Strategy and Global Engagement

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support the Strategy and Global Engagement team on all aspects of administration and program delivery
  • Day to day administrative tasks including document control, customer service and data entry
  • Successfully complete learning and assessment outcomes required for the traineeship
  • Undertake additional duties as required or directed from time to time


SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Enthusiastic and motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively as part of a high performing team.
  • The ability to work under minimal supervision and plan and carry out routine tasks as requested and meet deadlines.
  • Sound computer skills, including sound typing skills and knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills; including proficient literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A positive problem-solving approach and commitment to work in alignment with Queensland Ballet’s Principles of Commitment.


SALARY

The successful candidate will receive: 

  • National Training Wage Award + 9.5% Superannuation
  • Fully funded qualification
