Book Keeper / Office Admin Assistant

About the business

We are a southern Gold Coast based business operating in the entertainment and events sector. 

About the role

You will be working closely and with the support of the Managing Director, Operations Manager and our external Book Keeper and Accountant.

There is scope for the hours per week to increase in line with our businesses continued growth and the competency of the candidate to undertake more complex tasks. 

The successful applicant will undertake a broad range of tasks including:

  • Invoicing.
  • Accounts payable.
  • Accounts receivable.
  • Payroll processing and data entry.
  • Reconciliation of accounts, credit cards and data entry of receipts/expenses. 
  • Project forecasting and reporting.
  • Security of payment documentation/processes.
  • Other general accounts/administrative duties as required.

Skills and experience

  • Bookkeeping/Accounting experience and/or tertiary qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable, data entry and record keeping, bank reconciliation, BAS, superannuation and general administrative duties highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in MYOB is highly desirable; however, training can be provided where required.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Be self-motivated, reliable, structured and well organised.
  • Possess the ability to work as part of a team, under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
  • The confidence and willingness to embrace challenges and learn new competencies
