Kelly Services is seeking to engage with an experienced Business support officer for one of our government based clients in Broome. The successful candidates will be engaged for 6 months and will be providing a range of administrative and operational support to local business teams which may include a mix of finance, human resource, property, information technology (IT) and other corporate activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial administration tasks including money handling, receipting, payment of invoices and associated processing, reconciliation of data, and contributing to financial reporting

  • Prepare periodic reports, incorporating the completion of end of month journal processing

  • Assist with the coordination of employee rosters, phone schedules and training schedules

  • Coordinate responses to requests for information about local operations and corporate reporting requests

  • Provide executive support including travel arrangements, diary and appointments, and secretariat functions

  • Coordinate the provision of building property services, IT, telephony services, security, petty cash management and asset and equipment maintenance and liaise with service providers

Criteria for Selection:

  • 1 - 2 Year’s experience as a Project Officer or Business Support Officer

  • Experience as a PA or EA would be greatly beneficial

  • Government background is highly regarded but not mandatory

  • Strong Organisational and Communication Skills

  • Ability to manage a fluctuating work load and prioritise accordingly
