About the business

Magellan Power is a Perth based family owned business, who manufactures industrial back up power solutions. Our clients include mining, utilities and infrastructure companies who use Magellan for reliability and innovative solutions.

We are seeking a motivated, customer service focused Sales Administration Assistant to join our growing sales team. This role will keep you engaged and constantly learning and developing your sales skills and technical knowledge. You will be a part of a young team with goals set on international and domestic growth.

The role is based in Perth, Western Australia, and we will not be reviewing any applications from other locations.

About the role

  • Process sales orders and provide administrative support to the Sales team.
  • Draft quotes for Magellan products as per customer technical requirements under sales team supervision.
  • Manage and update Magellan's CRM software with customer details.
  • Assist customers with enquiries such as delivery times and documentation.
  • Be first point of contact for phone and online enquiries.
  • Maintain relationships with current customers and build relationships with prospective clients.
  • Follow up quotations (call/contact the customer to ensure they have all of the right information). 
  • Facilitate projects meeting and keep record of project activity.
  • Stay in continual contact with the customer until the order is delivered, ensure post-delivery follow up is made.
  • Be empathetic to the customer's needs, work with the project engineer to resolve issues as soon as possible.
  • Provide sales reports as required.
  • Work additional hours to meet deadlines when required.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in Electrical industry would be highly desirable.   
  • Very strong organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer skills and the ability to converse over the phone and by email.
  • Ability to show initiative and problem solve.
  • Strong in time management and self-organisation.
  • Skills in Microsoft office suite.
  • Previous experience in DBA, Zoho or any CAD program an advantage (but training will be provided).
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Understanding of various sales techniques.
  • Motivated to learn about our products and our industry.
  • Attention to detail.
