The Role

The Optometry department are an engaged, motivated and energic team with a passion for improving eye health across Australia and New Zealand. We are currently looking for a driven individual to join as a Team Coordinator, who is eager to learn and be the driving force for continual process improvements within the role. As well as providing support to the Optometry department, this position will coordinate Continued Professional Development for Optometrists across ANZ, monitor registration standards of Optometrists, , manage reporting on training outcomes and provide general ad-hoc support as required.

 

As the Team Coordinator, you will also be responsible for the following duties:

  • Maintaining and updating all Specsavers Optometrists AHPRA registration, i.e. tracking, maintaining reporting and investigating changes
  • Discussing Continued Professional Development (CPD) queries with Optometrists and Partners, tracking CPD points, managing the database and  promoting available learning resources
  • Managing CPD information on the Intranet and other databases to ensure that all relevant material is up to date and necessary
  • Managing the CPD accreditation process
  • Managing the registration of Optometrists at events that incur CPD points using databases such as iLearn/LMS and reporting on attendance
  • Providing administrative support to the Optometry team, including meeting coordination, arranging minutes, making travel arrangements as required, preparing overviews and spread sheet material

 

About You
Reporting to the Head of Optometry, you will possess the following skills:

  • Experience in an administrative, coordination or PA role
  • Demonstrated capacity to determine priorities, meet strict deadlines and effectively balance competing demands all while displaying fantastic attention to detail 
  • Highly competent computer skills with experience using Microsoft suite, databases and electronic diaries
  • Ability to follow and improve processes, with the desire to understand the deeper meaning of why things are done in the way that they are
  • The capacity to deal with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, with a genuine interest in answering questions and solving problems in a creative way
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
