MPA Skills is a leading Group Training Organisation and Registered Training Organisation, employing over 300 plumbing & painting apprentices and providing training for over 1200 students. With state of the art training campuses in Maylands, Bayswater & Jandakot, we are setting the benchmark in Vocational Education & Training.
This is a full time position in our Training Administration Department within the MPA Skills Group. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated person to join our successful & happy team at our office in Maylands.
POSITION TITLE: Training Administration Support Officer
PROGRAM: Training Services
REPORTS TO: Training Administration Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: Nil
LOCATION: Maylands Office
CLASSIFICATION: Administration Assistant
The Role
- Provide efficient administrative and support functions for staff & training students.
- Assist with reporting to funding bodies and meeting contractual requirements through accurate data entry and record keeping of all training provided.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO).
Key Responsibilities
- Support team members to achieve Key Performance Indicators
- Responsible for processing enquiries, enrolments, scheduling of training, call up letters, resulting
- Administration and reporting of Apprenticeships in Plumbing and Painting and Decorating
- Maintaining student files and records in Vettrak and other filing systems in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Generate invoices using MYOB
- Provide support and assistance to training staff when they are delivering training
- Assisting with other reporting including audits, AVETMIS and RTO quality indicators.
- Assist training department with other tasks as required
Essential Criteria
- RTO experience desirable
- Must have experience using MYOB or similar accounting package
- Knowledge and experience in using VETtrak or other student management system desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Administration skills including record keeping, filing and report writing.
- High level computer and data entry skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, databases etc).
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- High level customer service skills.
- Ability to initiate and coordinate multiple projects within set guidelines.
- Knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training sector
- Drivers licence
