Your new company
This well-known Government Department provides intelligence advice to assist in dealing with threats to Australia and its national interests. This team is responsible for identifying and assessing a number of domestic and international factors to determine the outcome of the planning and conduct of crucial operations and capability procedures. This area is responsible for engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, domestically and internationally, and the provision of advice on a large scale to ensure that accountability requirements are met both internally and externally. This Agency is located centrally in the ACT, and has a number of positions available for administrative and executive support staff.

This agency engages with a wide range of stakeholders and provides advice to staff to ensure they meet internal and external accountability requirements. Executive Assistants / Administration Officers play a critical role in the application of policies and development of procedures to support the Branch Heads in achieving organisational outcomes in a professional and supportive environment. Executive Assistants undertake a variety of administrative support including finance and human resources, budget, travel, records management and governance, and the application of related policies and procedures.

Your new role
Under limited direction, you will work within an integrated workforce and be responsible for a range of administrative support activities and tasks for the Senior Executive Service Branch Heads.

As there are a variety of roles available, the duties for each position will vary. Your tasks may include, but not be limited to, the planning, management and performance of business support, clerical, administrative and managerial activities including human resources, finance, travel, program implementation, records management, procurement, capability management, quality assurance, governance, contract management and project support functions. This will include training, understanding, implementing, using, improving, administering, and complying with and promote legislative, regulatory, procedural, policy and program requirements within the Department.

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a similar role within the Federal Government is highly desirable. You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain the minimum of a Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) personnel security clearance. You must also be prepared to undertake a multi-stage Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA).

You will receive an attractive hourly rate, and a 12 month contract with very real extension opportunity. This area has an on-going requirement for contractors with a TSPV clearance, so your contract is relatively secure.
