Inaburra Preschool is seeking a part time office administration/accounts staff member to support the Director and staff in implementing an age appropriate early childhood educational program for preschool children. This is a 1-year contract with strong potential for extension/permanency.
The position is subject to a valid Working with Children Check and applicants must be able to contribute to the Preschool’s Christian ethos. This position is 18 hours per week worked flexibly over 3-4 days. Wages and conditions will be as outlined in the Inaburra Preschool Enterprise Agreement 2016-2018.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
Education, Training and Certification
· Appropriate administration qualifications
· Working with Children Check verification
Workplace and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated ability to work within the ethos and philosophy of Inaburra Preschool
· Demonstrated ability to work in partnerships with children, families and the community
· Extensive MYOB experience
· Proficient in all Microsoft Office Programs; MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook and PowerPoint
· Experience in all areas of Payroll Services
· Strong Organisational, time management & interpersonal skills
· Ability to create and maintain documentation/archiving systems
- Demonstrated professional level of written and verbal communication skills;
· Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
· A current Working with Children Check
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA
· Familiarity with the National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework
· Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children.
· Knowledge of Child Management systems (Hubworks/Starcare)
· Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
· Experience working in the community/not for profit sector.
