The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health practitioners. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

The purpose of this role is to provide policy and program support and administrative assistance to the Government Relations Team

In this role you will:

  • Provide administrative support for our statutory appointment campaigns, including application processing, data entry, information uploading and report running.
  • Assist with the preparation of information and documents to support government relations processes
  • Undertake other general administrative duties as needed, including arranging meetings, distribution of meeting information and responding promptly to stakeholder enquiries and managing team email accounts
  • Identify and contribute to team improvement opportunities and activities.

As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and interact professionally with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and time management skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines whilst ensuring attention to detail.
  • Present a professional image to stakeholders and deal appropriately with sensitive, confidential information.
  • Exposure to supporting a regulatory body or a government body is desirable.
  • Attend meetings and workshops, which may include some out of hours work and interstate travel (as required)
