About the role

The Client Service Officer responsibilities will include:

  • Operate a client service function, assessing suitability of potential applicants for the program; answer questions and resolve client issues consistent with programme guidelines in a professional manner
  • Undertake and be responsive to training provided and show initiative in identifying and resolving own learning gaps
  • Provide high level communication services to participants;
  • Deliver timely and effective responses to applicants in line with policy and guidelines;
  • Creation of accurate and complete records in accordance with Record keeping Practices;
  • Undertake research and analysis of information collected from a number of sources, both internal as well as open source;
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including industry, Government agencies and international partners
  • Present information in a clear, timely and effective manner both orally and in writing;
  • Provide administration support including, where applicable, a secretariat function;
  • Support the programme by undertaking tasks as operationally required.

Successful Candidates

  • Understanding of the needs, rights, & expectations of people with a disability
  • Good communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution & negotiation skills
  • Ability to build relationships with service providers and stakeholders
  • Ability to develop, monitor, assess and update client budgets
  • Ability to interpret legislation and apply legal, commercial and financial principles to clients’ estates
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills and ability to seek and interpret specialist advice in relation to decision making
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Skills

  • Knowledge of and/or ability to quickly acquire, the application eligibility standards and procedures;
  • Ability to acquire familiarity of policies and regulations;
  • Understanding of risk management principles;
  • Ability to think strategically and identify concerns relevant to risk management;

Knowledge

  • A good understanding or ability to quickly gain knowledge of business processes, industry logistics processes.
