The Client:

Our Client has been trading for many years and is a small, progressive machinery supply company located in Silverwater. They are industry leaders and well known in supplying capital equipment to a very wide cross-section of the Australian manufacturing industry.

They are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant All-rounder who is more than capable of providing administrative and clerical assistance, support to their managers and staff members and managing our clients overall general activities.

The Role:

Answering and directing phone calls to relevant staff and being the first point of contact

Processing, receipting and directing mail and incoming goods and dispatch of outgoing goods and mail

Data entry of Purchase Orders and Supplier Invoices into MYOB

Scheduling meetings and appointments

Preparation of documents for business trips and meetings

Ordering and taking stock of office supplies

Researching and booking travel arrangements for staff members

Filing and archive management

Updating and maintaining databases

What you need:

Ability to interact confidently with staff and external clients at all levels

Flexible, initiative and strong work ethic

Proven experience in a similar role, particularly with experience in a small team environment

Good communication skills both written and verbal  

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Accounts payable/ Accounts receivable experience.

Experience with Microsoft Suite, Xero (ideal) and Maximizer (not mandatory but bonus – can be taught)

• Ability to work autonomously and as a team member

• Attention to detail, punctual and reliable

Own car is compulsory as it is not near public transport
