Our client is a leading global manufacturer of industrial automation, control systems and test and measurement solutions. Operating with over 19,000 staff members across 55 countries, in an array of industries including: engineering, sales, oil and gas, technical services and corporate divisions; this is an exciting opportunity to work for a renowned international enterprise.
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic receptionist to join their Sydney Head Office team.
Reporting to the Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for providing prompt, efficient and high quality administrative services to the organisation.
The Role:
This is an opportunity for an individual seeking work-life balance. It is a part time- permanent role offering flexible working arrangements. The Receptionist is responsible for creating positive first impressions for all visitors by providing a professional and welcoming environment, as well as answering telephone enquiries in a courteous and warm manner. You will be able to work autonomously to manage varied responsibilities and provide efficient support to the wider team.
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: -
- First point of contact for telephone, face to face and email enquiries
- Providing general administration support within the business
- Managing stationery ordering and storage
- Receipting and distributing mail
- Assisting the project administrators and executive assistants, as required.
Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and industry. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be a self-starter, reliable, punctual, and a team player who is familiar with using safe working methods.

- Strong organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- High level customer service skills
- Ability to work with multicultural and diverse backgrounds
- Basic MS Office skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records.
- High level of professionalism
- Effective time management skills
- Experience using phone systems and switchboards
