This position would suit someone with good interpersonal skills, strong communication skills and sound analytical skills. The role involves:

• identifying Clients who have recently advertised a vacancy in selected occupations
• conducting telephone-based interviews with these Clients about experiences
• accurately recording the findings
• analysing the results, drawing sound conclusions and writing up the reports for publication.

The position would suit someone who enjoys engaging with people and learning more about their experiences, has good attention to detail, and is able to draw accurate conclusions from the findings.

Position responsibilities and tasks

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to conduct telephone interviews with employers in a professional manner

• the ability to follow the agreed research approach so to produce sound data for analysis
• the ability to analyse the data, draw sound conclusions and to produce well written reports for publication
• flexibility, initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Desirable

• Experience in conducting telephone surveys, collecting data and writing reports.
• Tertiary qualifications in the social sciences, labour market economics or research methods would be well regarded.
• Australian Citizen
