Detector Inspector is a specialized company dedicated to the annual servicing and maintenance of smoke detectors, and biannual carbon monoxide testing of gas appliances, for real estate agencies. The Position:

This is a newly created position that has come about through our continued growth. 

The core purpose of this role is to provide personalized secretarial and administrative support to Detector Inspector’s General Manager and Directors.  You will work on a one-to-one basis on a variety of tasks related to the General Manager’s and Directors’ working lives and communication.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact between the General Manager and internal/external clients.
  • Undertake the tasks of receiving calls, taking messages and routing correspondence.
  • Handle requests and queries appropriately.
  • Maintain the General Manager’s and Directors' diaries, arranging meetings and appointments and providing reminders.
  • Make travel arrangements and detailed travel itineraries.
  • Monitor office supplies and marketing material (printing supplies) and research advantageous deals or suppliers.
  • Produce reports and presentations.
  • Develop and carry out an efficient documentation and filing system.
  • On call one night per week for the 1300 emergency telephone number.

The role of Executive Assistant involves oral and written communication, dealing with email and telephone inquiries, and a great deal of multitasking. At times you will be trusted with complex tasks and sensitive information.

Required Qualifications:

Appropriate certification in Office Administration and 1+ year industry experience OR 3+ years industry experience as a Personal Assistant or other secretarial position.
