About the role

The Operations Support Analyst, as a member of the Operations Support Team provides support to the onsite operational teams delivering services to our offshore operations. The core function of these roles is to support contractual compliance and governance through the development of datasets, reports, business cases and writing of plans and procedures as well as communication between our sites and HQ, and responding to/promulgating reports to key internal and external stakeholders.

The role forms part of the Operations Support team which takes on a diverse range of functions including; management and reporting of operational activities, document control, reporting to the client on contract and performance deliverables, developing and reviewing operational plans and procedures, media and public relations management and oversight of all operational matters daily including a member of the On-Call Duty Officer system.  In addition, the Operations Support Team are responsible for managing and facilitating communication between Paladin and its various stakeholders in order to develop and maintain the public reputation of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Use Microsoft office and other systems to provide data reports and identify subsequent business improvements to develop the Operations Support Team.
  • Develop business cases and other information in accordance with provided templates.
  • Provide support to other areas of the business as required including procurement, finance and human resources to support business operations.
  • Prepare comprehensive business requirements, processes and procedures
  • Innovatively identify efficient solutions in consultation with other key business areas
  • The Operations Support team have the following mandatory responsibilities:
    • Operational Reports (Incident Management, Transport and Escort, Nominal Roll, Daily Offsite)
    • Operational Support functions (Risk Assessments, Time sheeting, financial data gathering and analysis, Business Case support)
    • Quality Assurance and Contractual Compliance support
    • Performance Management Framework datasets and reporting
    • Develop, review processes and procedures
    • Rostered on Call Duty Officer
    • Collaboration and Consultation with onshore and offshore personnel and functional areas.
  • Job duties are performed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Skills and experience

Qualifications - Desirable

  • Diploma / bachelor's Degree in business, finance and/or IT, or equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of the operations environment (overseas experience desirable)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Office 365, Excel, Work and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently develop reports, data sets and presentations for delivery and/or executive briefings
  • Demonstrated capacity to problem solve across all levels of the operation with strong analytical skills, coupled with an investigative orientation
  • Demonstrated attention to detail for compliance, reporting and auditing expectations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to solve problems and meet deadlines whilst maintaining good attention to detail
  • A "Can Do" attitude
  • An independent thinker who works well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated capacity working in a demanding, constantly changing and fast-moving operational organisation with an ability to be solution focussed
