About the role
The Project Officer coordinates consultation activities within MLA’s Regional Consultation Framework. This external-facing position works with Regional Councils, regional producer chairs, research providers and MLA employees to implement transparent, representative, cost-effective processes that underpin effective and relevant Research, Development and Adoption (RD&A) investment.
You will be preparing highly detailed documentation and correspondence, organising events and be proactive in finding effective solutions while working autonomously but remembering you are part of a larger team.
About You
We are looking for someone who has an understanding of, and a passion for the livestock industry who hold formal qualifications in Agricultural Science or similar equivalent. The ability to travel domestically will be a key component of this role along with a proactive and flexible approach to the role. You will need to demonstrate excellent organisational, administration and event management skills with intermediate to advanced experience with the Microsoft suite of products and knowledge of, or exposure to SAP and SharePoint or similar. Your strong interpersonal, relationship building, communication and negotiation skills will be utilised as you present to groups to explain the consultation process (which we will teach you). Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate strong experience as a Personal Assistant, Team Coordinator or Project Officer. You will have the ability and confidence to liaise at an executive level and work under pressure with an understanding of compliance.
