We are an emerging engineering consulting firm, looking for an Accounts and Administration Specialist to join our Finance & Administration team. This is a hands on and varied position covering all aspects of Accounts and Administration including invoicing, accounts payable, account receivable and general office duties.

Our office is located at the Melbourne CBD. This role is permanent 0.8 FT equivalent, with view to turning full time. You will be direct reporting to the Financial Controller. Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Data processing
  • General & Administrations duties
  • Managing and Maintaining the weekly timesheet & utilisation reporting
  • Project Hours Reconciliation and Transfers between entities
  • Processing Customer Invoices and Receipts
  • Reconcile & Process Accounts Payable
  • Review and Reconcile Statements
  • Bank/ Credit Card Entries & Reconciliation
  • Petty Cash Reconciliations.
  • Process Employee Expense Reimbursements
  • Prepare Corporate Credit Card Claim Expense Reports.
  • Document Scanning, Filing and Cataloguing.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Computer literacy, intermediate to advanced knowledge (Essential)
  • Intermediate in using Microsoft Office suites, especially Word & Excel (Essential).
  • At least 3 years working experience in accounts and/or administration position (Essential).
  • Understanding of Accounting & Bookkeeping Principles (Essential)
  • Competent with data entry and experience working on various computer systems & programs (Essential).
  • Strong attention to details and ability to multi-task.
  • A fast learner and welcoming of change for continuous improvement
  • Able to display initiative and work unsupervised
  • Able to work within a deadline and at times under pressure
  • Able to follow instructions
