Next Gen is a world leading Health & Lifestyle Club with operations across Australia and New Zealand.   Our Clubs are 5 star and we pride ourselves on maintaining exceptional customer service, safety and quality facilities for our valued Members to enjoy. Given this, we are searching for an Operations Manager to join the Next Gen Leadership Team @ Canberra.

About the Role

The Operations Manager is a pivotal role within the Leadership Team.  Reporting into the General Manager, in this role you will provide strategic and operational leadership, be required to manage a diverse workforce and array of services, facilities and procedures, and be accountable for controlling expenses within your remit. 

About You

To be successful in your application, you understand and have experience in aquatics and operations within a sporting or leisure facility.  You have current safety legislation knowledge and understand regulatory compliance.  You are confident in influencing and sharing your ideas of best practice with others.  You're a Team Player, an effective coach and mentor, and passionate about working to develop and foster a culture you can be proud of.

Key Role Requirements:

  • Senior First Aid + Current CPR
  • Demonstrated experience in a forward facing customer centric environment
  • Pool Operators Certificate or knowledge of Pool Plant
  • Demonstrated experience in the successful leadership of a multifaceted team
  • Demonstrated understanding of Risk and Risk management Systems
  • Experience in aquatic facility and venue management
  • Strong interest and passionate about the health & fitness industry;
  • Strong administration and sound financial skills;
  • Extensive operational experience;
  • Effective organisational skills and team focused qualities;
  • Proficient in developing excellent working relationships; and
  • Ability to develop and execute on plans and work to budget and targets.
