About the role:
As a Junior Aquatics Lifeguard, you will be responsible for the provision of quality customer service and effective lifeguard and aquatic services to ensure a clean and safe facility for public enjoyment at Maitland City Council’s Aquatic Centres. You will perform lifeguarding duties including supervision, resuscitation and/or first aid as required to the users of Maitland’s Aquatic Centres. You will keep accurate records of the pools daily events, including recording first aid/incident forms in the daily diary/running sheet.
About you:
As Maitland City Council’s newest Junior Lifeguard, you will have your RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Certificate– or evidence of booking to obtain. It is also a requirement of the role that you have a current First Aid Certificate. You will have had exposure in an aquatics environment or similar, and be able to demonstrate your effective communication and teamwork skills.
Salary and hours:
The salary for the role is $25.2720 per hour, plus weekend penalty rates if you work on a Saturday or Sunday. We are looking for motivated individuals to work at our aquatics centres which are open 7 days a week on a temporary basis, 16 hours per fortnight until the end of April 2019. We need people to work across weekends and weekdays across both long and short shifts.
