About the role:
Covering shifts during competitions over the weekends will be a great opportunity for the successful candidate to continue the gymnastics function and also gain further experience at Bankstown YMCA with the main responsibilities being as follows:
- Have extensive knowledge in contemporary gymnastics and understand the intent, purpose, interpretation, and application of each rule
- Attend all scheduled instruction sessions and meetings of judges before the respective Competition
- Adhere to any special organisational or judging related instruction given by the competition organisers (i.e. Scoring system instructions)
- Be prepared thoroughly on all apparatus
- Be capable of fulfilling the various necessary duties, which include:
- correctly completing the required score sheets
- using necessary computer or manual equipment
- facilitating the efficient running of the competition when required
- communicating effectively with other judges
You will come with:
- Appropriate judging qualification valid for the level of competition
- Valid Gymnastics Australia Technical membership
- Current first aid
- Experience working with groups of children from various ages
- Current WWC
