PERTH CRICKET ASSOCIATION - VACANT UMPIRES CO-ORDINATOR
The Umpires Co-ordinator is responsible for providing to the Perth Cricket Association weekly allocations of umpires for fixtures
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Organise and advise umpires for weekly fixtures and ground allocations
- Provide administrative support to umpires and the umpires committee (PCUA)
- Attend WACA meeting on umpires matters
- Attend all Executive Committee meetings and report on umpires performance and issues
- Recruitment and retainment of umpires in partnership with Perth Cricket Association
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
The Umpires Co-Ordinator is expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Perth Cricket Association by:
- making regular and continuous suggestions to improve the administration of umpires within the Association;
- participating on sub-committees; and
- participating with other committee members in the effective operation of the Association
ENGAGEMENT
Engagement to undertake this function will be as a service for contract (heads of agreement arrangement) for a two year period, with the option of an extension.
HOURS
Required to provide appropriate hours necessary to perform the functions specified.
OTHER
The umpires Co-ordinator is required to provide own transport, personal computer, internet/email connection and other communication facilities (such as mobile). The Association will cover the reasonable costs of the telephone calls and emails.
