The National Rugby League (NRL) is the governing body of Rugby League in Australia. Our purpose is to bring people together for the best sports and entertainment experience. We aim to UNITE, EXCITE and INSPIRE.

2018 has been an historic year for our game with the launch of our Women’s Elite Program.

The Women’s Elite Program has seen the return of the National Championships and the launch of the Talent Combine. Recently, the rebranded Interstate Challenge, now the Women’s State of Origin, was a great success in front of 7000 people at North Sydney Oval.

Later this year we will launch the Inaugural NRL Women’s Premiership.

The program also includes our Top 40 Elite Female Players being centrally contracted, providing benefits such as payments for matches, participation in high performance camps and access to high performance staff and programs all year round.

To help us deliver this program and continue to achieve our goals we currently have a permanent position available for a Program Manager, assisting our Senior Manager and her dedicated team to deliver on the game’s vision and plans .

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the successful delivery of all elements of the NRL’s Elite Women’s Program
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives
  • Help manage delivery timelines and schedules
  • Assist with budget management
  • Ensure Program is delivered on time and within budget
  • Assist in strategic planning for Women’s Elite Program
Required:
  • Tertiary Education
  • Previous experience within a management / leadership role within the sporting industry or NFP
  • Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience of successful project delivery
  • Knowledge of the sporting industry landscape or not-for-profit
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Initiative
