YMCA South Australia is seeking proactive, passionate, and professional Outdoor Pool Staff to join its team at Strathalbyn Community Swimming Pool for the 2018/2019 season. Positions are available in the following casual roles:
- Lifeguards;
- Swimming Instructors; and
- Duty Managers.
These roles are responsible for ensuring the safety of all our patrons. Successful candidates are expected to provide exceptional customer service, be highly motivated, and have strong attention to detail.

The following qualifications are desirable however, training may be provided to suitable candidates:
Lifeguards
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate;
- (HLTAID003) Provide First Aid or equivalent;
- (HLTAID001) Perform CPR or equivalent; and
- Responding to Abuse and Neglect training.
Swimming Instructors
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or Swim Australia Teacher;
- (HLTAID001) Perform CPR or equivalent;
- Responding to Abuse and Neglect training; and
- Department for Communities and Social Inclusion Child-Related Employment Screening Check.
Duty Managers
- Pool Operators Certificate;
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate;
- (HLTAID003) Provide First Aid or equivalent;
- (HLTAID001) Perform CPR or equivalent; and
- Responding to Abuse and Neglect training.
All successful applicants will be required to hold a National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC) prior to commencement. The NCHRC must not be greater than 12 months old.
