Join one of Sydney's and Australia's most versatile and trusted portfolio of Sports Venues as Pool Attendant at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.  We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual who is versatile and flexible.

 

An attractive salary package comprising a salary of $47,107 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation, leave loading and 5 weeks annual leave is available.

 

About the role

 

The Pool Attendant is responsible for effective safe supervision of all aquatic areas ensuring patron safety and efficient operation of the Aquatic Centre and providing emergency incident response. In addition the Pool Attendant is a front line position which requires the delivery of high level customer service to assist in ensuring patrons comply with the Centre's conditions of use and entry requirements.

 

To be successful in the role

 

You will require

 

  • Current approved NSW First Aid Qualification
  • Experience in an aquatic environment.
  • A current NSW Working With Children Check
  • Pool Lifeguard Qualifications recognized in NSW
  • Effective interpersonal communication and customer service skills for dealing directly with members of the public.
  • Awareness of WHS requirements and risk, particularly in an aquatic environment.

Other Requirements

 

The incumbent must maintain, on an on-going basis, all pre-requisite qualifications.

 

The successful applicant will need to provide the Sydney Olympic Park Authority with a Working with Children Check number, or make a Working with Children Check application, either on-line or via phone, through the NSW Office of the Children's Guardian. An application fee of $80 applies.
