Somerville House is a landmark school in girls' education we provide a wide and diverse range of co-curricular activities as an integral part of the educational experience. We seek to appoint the finest coaches to assist co-ordinators in the range of sports and activities offered to our students.
We are currently seeking applications to recruit enthusiastic and experienced coaches for the following sports for the 2018 seasons:
- Water Polo
- Softball
As these are casual positions, you will be advised by the Director of Sport of your working arrangements. Starting dates will be during Term 3.

Personal qualities and skills essential to the position:
- Appropriate/relevant coaching accreditations and experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Work as part of a coaching team along with other coaches and staff
- Love of sport and the enthusiasm required to work with and motivate young people
- Punctuality and reliability
- Confident user of IT
- Attention to detail.
- Blue Card for working with children (or eligible to apply prior to commencement)
Please note: Coaches must hold a current PAID Blue Card (for working with children) or be eligible to apply for a Blue Card.
Pay rates
Excellent pay rates are negotiated dependent on qualifications and experience.
Induction Program
Potential coaches are invited at attend an Induction Program. Attendance, whilst compulsory for appointed coaches, is no guarantee of an offer of a coaching position. The sessions will run from approximately 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Dates for Coaches Induction programs in 2018 will be confirmed at interview.

Short-listed applicants will be invited to attend a short interview with the Director of Sport and Sport Co-ordinator. Terms and conditions of employment will be discussed during the interview.
